COVID-19 Risk Assessment
Parents should be assured that our key priorities are to ensure the safety of our pupils and to maintain face to face education. Our leadership team has undertaken a detailed risk assessment and put in place many protective measures. This risk assessment is periodically updated in response to the changing situation.
The risk assessment was last reviewed on 28th February 2022 and can be accessed on this link.
Here is a link to the government information about what parents should expect.
Our risk assessments, amended policies and detailed arrangements are posted on this area of the website. It is very difficult to pre-empt every situation so we will continually review and update our arrangements.
Outbreak Management Plan
Additional measures may be implemented to manage outbreaks of COVID-19. Click here for our Outbreak Management Plan.
OUTBREAK MANAGEMENT – parents will be advised if these measures are actioned:
Social Distancing – In the first lockdown, pupils were socially distanced in their ‘class bubbles’ but this has not been the case since. Within a ‘class bubble’, pupils do not need to socially distance except from the adults and in class, pupils are sat side by side to reduce transmission of Covid. We use staggered playtimes and lunchtimes to reduce mixing of pupils in different age phases (e.g. Reception, Y1/2, Y3/4 and Y5/6) and thereby reduce risk of transmission.
Entry and Exit Route Plan for pickup and collection times – we follow a one-way entry and exit system in order to ease congestion and allow for distancing. In the event of an outbreak, this may be stepped up and required to be more strictly adhered to.
