Tried and Tested

Many congratulations to our Year 6 pupils for showing such excellent positive attitude, great determination and an admirable work ethic during SAT’s this week. We have been really pleased with their great progress this year and we are confident that all our pupils will achieve excellent outcomes.

It has been wonderful to see all of our boys and girls early each morning at our SAT’s Breakfast Club. Now in its tenth year, this has yet again proven to be a successful and worthwhile initiative. It gives children the opportunity to get into school early, see their classmates and overcome any pre-test nerves. We would like to thank our Friends of Greenfield for annually funding this activity and are very grateful to our dynamic Year 6 team of Miss Cook, Miss Tang, Mrs Remmers, Mrs Taylor, Mrs Knapman and Mrs Smith, who were in school early each day to prepare and serve the breakfasts.

Our Year 6 pupils can now look forward to making the most of their last nine weeks at Greenfield. This starts on Monday with our three day outdoor adventure residential at Boreatton Park, PGL’s flagship centre in Shropshire. We are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather to enjoy a packed timetable of raft building, giant swing, tunnel trail, zip-wire, aero ball and rifle shooting! Interschool sports, arts celebrations and community events will soon follow. There is still time for our pupils to achieve and experience even more (as well as preparing an excellent end of year performance) before they make the move onto the next phase of their education. Keep up the good work and well done, Year 6 – we are all so proud of you!
