Many congratulations to our brilliant tag rugby teams for such splendid achievements in this week’s first qualifying round for the Black Country games. We went to Old Halesonians yesterday to compete against local schools from Stourbridge and Halesowen and were pleased to be able to field both an A and a B team. Both of our teams played exceedingly well in their groups and after some tough competition our A team progressed to the semi-finals, where they beat Manor Way, and eventually to the final against Howley Grange. This was an exciting and unexpectedly physical game of tag rugby. We are delighted to announce that our Greenfield team put in an excellent performance and went on to win 2-1 with a golden try! This means that we are again through to the Dudley Finals in March 2016. I am immensely proud of the effort, enthusiasm and positive sporting attitude of both our teams. Well done to Sonny Morgan, Joe Kelly, Nina Maeer, Charlie Walker, Jake Homer, Will Holloway, Jack Ciasullo, Millie Knott, Jada Thompson, Sam Grimmett-Bate, Jake Holloway, Eden Green, Ben Wilson, Owen Westwood, Tyler Harris, Jake Hammonds, Maisie Lamb, Emma Hadley and Molly Carroll-Grigg! You are a credit to our school and really prove how much we can achieve through dedication, team work and determination.
