Keeping up Appearances

We would like to remind parents that no jewellery is to be worn by our children in school. There is one exception. Children with pierced ears may wear one set of plain studs, but these must be removed at home before school on PE days unless children can remove the studs themselves. Our members of staff are not allowed to remove ear rings. We also recommend that children with long hair have it tied back; this makes it easier to manage and reduces the chances of a visit from the nits! Extreme hairstyles (including any bright colour or patterns cut into the hair) and make-up (including nail varnish and temporary tattoos) are not allowed. As children learn to tell the time, we are happy for them to be encouraged to wear a wristwatch.
