Madeline Baker in Year 6 is raising money for the Little Princess Trust by cutting off 18 cm of her hair during the coming half term break so that it can be used to make a wig for children suffering with hair loss. Madeline and her Mum, Sarah, have set up a Just Giving Page – Madeline’s ‘Hair to Help’ and she’s also got a sponsorship form and collection box. Most of Maddie’s friends in school are aware of this already but any other support would be warmly welcomed. The main aim is to donate the hair, so any money raised is a bonus. When asked what inspired her to take on this fundraising, Maddie said, “I wanted to help others and my nan had cancer, so I feel like I’m doing a good deed towards her”. If you are interested the fundraising page is https://ww.justgiving.com/Madeline-Baker07. JustGiving sends your donation straight to Little Princess Trust and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
