Goodbye and Hello

As we look towards the end of one school year and the start of another, we shall soon be saying goodbye to some familiar faces as well as welcoming new members to the Greenfield family. We shall be sad to say goodbye to two of our teachers, Mr Simon Wilkinson and Mr Tom Holder. Mr Wilkinson, who has worked at Greenfield in a variety of roles since 2008, is moving on to a Music Leader post at Ham Dingle Primary. After three years at Greenfield, Mr Holder will be taking up an Assistant Headteacher post at Olive Hill Primary in Halesowen. We are also saying farewell to Mrs Laura Parker, who has provided invaluable individual support to so many children during 14 years as a Teaching Assistant at our school. I am sure you will join me in thanking these members of staff for their dedication and commitment throughout their time at Greenfield and wishing them all the very best for their personal and professional futures.

And now for the good news! We are delighted to announce that after her year’s maternity leave Miss Becky Lewis is returning to Greenfield on Monday morning! Having initially advertised just after Easter, it has taken us longer than expected to add another high calibre teacher to our staff but we are very pleased to have appointed Miss Nicola Batham to our Key Stage 1 Team for the start of the new school year. Miss Batham will be spending a lot of time at Greenfield up to the end of term and we look forward to getting to know her well.
