It’s here, one of the biggest events of the school year, our Greenfield Christmas Fayre! It really is a great way to spend an evening getting into the Christmas spirit with your family and friends.
Many thanks to all our parents and families for your support and generosity in preparing for our 2016 Christmas Fayre. The amount and the variety of ‘Jolly Bags’ last week was truly impressive; we clearly have some very thoughtful families, who have put together just the sort of things that our children will love to win. The response for bottles and cakes yesterday was also excellent. Our Bottle Hoopla stall has become a well-known feature of our Christmas and Summer Fayres. Make sure you have a few goes this evening and do your best to stock up your seasonal drinks cabinet!
This year our Christmas Fayre has a few new stalls, which you won’t have seen before. Your children mustn’t forget to go up to Santa’s Secret Attic, where they will have the chance to buy and wrap up a special gift or two for the significant adults in their life at a bargain price. Please make sure you visit our Auction of Promises, where you may even get all your ironing done for a contribution to a very good cause. Those of us with prams and pushchairs will be able to use the outdoor ‘Buggy Park’!
Don’t worry about grabbing a quick tea after work. Just come along and enjoy one of the delicious Turkey Baps with lashings of cranberry jelly. To fill our hungry Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 children, who will be back from their ‘Wind in the Willows’ theatre trip at around 5.00 pm, there will even be the chance to have a mouth-watering Hot Dog or two. As ever, tasty vegetarian options will also be available.
