Christmas Week at Greenfield

I hope that many of you will be able to join us for our Christmas celebrations at Greenfield next week.  Carols by Candlelight takes place in school on Monday 15 December at 6.30 pm.  This event combines our termly recital evening with community carol singing.  We are pleased to have so many keen young musicians at Greenfield, who are working hard to learn to play a range of instruments.  Carols by Candlelight provides them with an opportunity to play in public and share their talents.  Our school choir was scheduled to take part in the prestigious Dudley Borough Christmas Concert next week but problems with the roof at Dudley Town Hall have closed the venue for up to three months.  However, we are very pleased that we shall be able to hear our choir singing their Christmas Concert songs at Carols by Candlelight.  Please do your best to come along and get into the Christmas spirit with a glass of mulled wine and carol singing.

This year our Carol Service at St Thomas’ Church on Tuesday 16 December at 10.00 has a decidedly traditional theme.  All of our children will be taking part and each class will be performing a piece together.  St Thomas’ is the perfect setting for our service and we warmly welcome all our families to join us.

We are happy for the children to come to school in party clothes for our Party Day on Thursday 18 December and the final day of term will be a mufti day.

Good luck with your Christmas preparations!
