Our celebration of the Queen’s 90th Birthday took place in school this afternoon. The children had the opportunity to find out all about significant events throughout Queen Elizabeth II’s life during the course of an informative assembly with Mrs Remmers. This was followed by a Royal Birthday Tea Party with cupcakes fit for the Queen and refreshments served by our Head/Deputy Boy/Girl team of Charlie, Esther, George and Grace. We would like to congratulate all our children, who entered ‘Design a Cupcake’ competition. The prize winners worked with Miss Hurst and Miss Grubb in our ‘Greenfield Bake Off’ yesterday afternoon, baking and decorating over 300 cupcakes in preparation for today’s party. This was a splendid effort and the cakes not only looked amazing but also tasted delicious! Thanks again to Gail Gardner, proprietor of Angel Cake in Wollaston, for judging our competition entries.
