We are delighted to be hosting our second ‘Come and Play’ with Dudley Performing Arts next week on Thursday 8 February from 4.00 to 5.00 pm. All our pupils, parents, teachers and friends of our school are invited to bring their musical instruments and take part in a one off playing session with staff from Dudley Performing Arts. This session is for all instrumentalists, regardless of your experience, from beginners to more advanced players. To take part, simply come along with your instrument and the Performing Arts staff will do the rest!
We extend a warm invitation to:
- All pupils taking part in our whole class trombone project in Year 3 and Year 4
- All pupils having instrumental lessons in school or outside of school
- School staff who play a musical instrument
- Parents who play a musical instrument
Parents, teachers and pupils, who used to play but haven’t done so for some time are more than welcome to dust down your instruments and bring them along. For parents who don’t play an instrument, the session will include a separate drumming workshop, so that everyone will be able to play. The session will include a short performance from the Performing Arts Team, lots of laughs, a big rehearsal (during which the drumming workshop will take place) and a final performance starring everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come along and join in a relaxed hour of music making. There is no need to register or cost involved – just turn up with your children (and instrument) and have fun! ‘Come and Play’ was really great fun last year and it was wonderful to see parents and children joining in together. Please do your best to join us.
